lol e** is such a crappy website. What are they even trying to do?
I've already accepted I'm getting older but being out of the loop really sucks. Then again, I'm constantly out of the loop about things. I don't have anyone to tell me about the latest everything so that's why the internet is there. I swear sometimes I think about living in a log cabin or beach house and live the primitive lifestyle. Maybe as a vacation but not a permanent thing.
Trying to put together this site is a struggle. I could make my life easier by sticking to 1 layout and 1 color scheme but it would get boring pretty fast. Despite the struggle, I managed to put to together a new layout for my anime-manga list. I've very proud of it. It's probably the only layout I like on my site. The rest just needs more variety. Easier said than done.
Still a little sad about not being able to experience nostalgia about certain things. It feels like I'm being left out. It feels like someone telling me I can't be part of their club because I haven't gone through it. I spoke to someone about it and they felt the same way. They came from nothing and have missed out on more things compared to me. While it does make me feel a little better, it really doesn't change anything. It's not like I can go back in time. It is what is.
It looks like I won't have a huge workload for this month and next month which means I'm going to start setting my plans into motion.
Sometimes it makes me feel bad I got into certain things later in life while many others have gone through it and are able to reminisce it with other people.
I'm watching a let's play for the remake of Demon's Souls. I think I'll watch until the end of the Phalanx boss battle and experience the rest for myself whenever the time comes. I'm glad I finished the original a few months ago so it's not much of a spoiler. I'm very impressed with what I'm seeing so far. The new animations, lighting, small details, and audio are a huge step up compared to the original. A tiny criticism is the HUD/UI. It's too modern looking for this type of game but at the same time it looks like it's a little better to see where everything is stored.
A memory I just remembered from my high school years: I had a teacher who thought Hello Kitty is evil and every Sanrio product is made from real cat fur... I don't know if there's evidence of it and I don't know why she said it. Maybe she has issues or she really hates Hello Kitty.
One of the best ways for me to unwind from stress and anxiety is play Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp. It's also a way for me to take small breaks from all the media I consume. I don't play it often since the dialogue is a little stale and frequently repeated. Also, there are other relaxing games I play so it's good to rotate.
I woke up really late today since I wasn't feeling well. I'm feeling much better now, though.
In other news, I'm going to go ahead with making fanshirnes/fanpages for my site. I've been dwelling on the idea ever since I joined neocities. They're going to take awhile since I need to either source graphics or just cut some out myself then, decide how I'm going to write about them.
I'm a little surprised 2020 is nearing to the end. Really hoping I can do what I was supposed to do earlier this year for 2021 because the pandemic halted most of my plans.
November of last year was quite busy for me. Sadly, I don't think it'll be a busy month for this year. Every year, my uncle and I would work on a big production for a client but I don't think she'll be able to do it because of the pandemic. Why must it ruin everything? :( Maybe it's too early to tell but either way, I feel blessed that we still have one other client.
I finally got around to finishing Yakuza Kiwami. I made a mistake playing this first instead of Yakuza 0 but I don't mind since I'm planning on playing it anyway. I'm a newbie to this series so this was a nice change of pace from what I usually play. What interested me in starting the series was a video game I played back in 2017 (and picking it up again last year) called Sleeping Dogs. It's unrelated to the series but falls under the crime/drama category. SD quickly grew on me and encouraged me to look out for games like it. During my search, I came across YK and bought it shortly after I looked at some gameplay clips.
➺ Again, it’s tragic but the overall story is well told.
➺ The open world exploration is fun but frustrating because I couldn’t get all the substories and the locker keys.
➺ Kazuma Kiryu goes on my list of badasses.
➺ Majima is everywhere!
➺ Fun music.
➺ Great voice acting.
➺ The bad guys are meh but I’m not surprised about why they acted the way they did.
➺ My poor right thumb. >.<
➺ I have a physical copy and I love the look of the steelbook.
1. I've been brainstorming a couple of ideas for my site but it's still going to take some time.
2. I went back into gaming a couple of days ago after taking a much needed break. I take breaks like this often so I don't get too addicted.
3. I returned to Nioh after battling with a few bosses in Bloodborne (NG+). I thought maybe if I did some training there, it would make Nioh easier. Unfortunately, it isn't. There was a little less dying involved but the game is still hard AF.
I doubt anyone would read this but I'm going to try starting a blog. I usually keep physical journals but they're starting to pile up and I don't like how I'm part of the problem when it comes to wasting paper. Ironic to say it since scrapbooking is one of my hobbies. I haven't been scrapbooking for too long since I've been working on only one scrapbook. I plan to stop this hobby after I complete it.
Photos of my scrapbook, journals, and select few pages from them.
I bought this about a year ago just for nostalgia's sake.
All the journals I've kept over the years. Three aren't in the picture but I still remember a bit on how they looked.
➜ One was lost during a pipe burst. It was pink all over with some (90's slang?) decorated on the front and back covers. The covers are plastic on the outside with a thin sort of sponge on the inside. It had a small padlock and key.
➜ Second one was a small diary. It was in this vintage green color with gold lettering and had a clasp lock and key.
➜ Third is from the Lisa Frank brand. It had the same two kittens from the coloring book pictured in my nostalgia page. Not sure what happened to these last two.
Pages from Wreck This Journal by Keri Smith.
This is my only scrapbook/smash book. I collected a number of things for a couple of years until I had enough to put one together. I'm not finished with it yet but it's getting a little heavy. When I finish it, I will not be doing anymore scrapbooking.
About the bunny:
Lisa is from an instruction book on how to sew odd looking creatures. I hand sewed her a few years ago when I was going through a very difficult time at college. I had a lot of stress and anxiety so keeping her around was a kind of therapy for me. My hand sewing isn't great since I'm more familiar with a sewing machine. I'm thinking about making a better version but I don't have an extra flower button. I guess I'll have to find an alternative.
