Ao no Exorcist TV 13/25; Maybe I'm impatient but I couldn't go more than halfway through the show. I thought it had a cool concept and some good moments but the story was going nowhere. Maybe I'll give it another try someday.

Code Geass: Hangyaku no Lelouch TV ... 15/25. I don't remember why I put this on hold.
Shugo Chara! TV ... 19/51. I watched this a long time ago and never went back to it. I don't remember why and I don't know if I'll go back to it.
D.N.Angel TV ... 5/26. Looking through the on hold section in my MAL profile makes me question why I've put so many anime on hold.
Dimension W TV ... Haven't warmed up to this anime yet.
Fate/stay night TV ... Genres: Action, Supernatural, Magic, Romance, Fantasy
Full Moon wo Sagashite TV ... I watched the first few episodes a long time ago but I didn't enjoy it. I'm hoping I can mend that by reading the manga.
Le Chevalier D'Eon TV ... 4/24. Genres: Historical, Magic, Mystery, Seinen, Supernatural
Monster TV ... I remember putting this on hold a long time ago because I didn't like the animation but now I think it's a lame excuse to not watch an anime. I'll return to this when time allows.

Phantom: Requiem for the Phantom TV ... Genres: Action, Drama, Seinen, Thriller
Red Garden TV ... Genres: Drama, Mystery
Moribito - Guardian of the Spirit TV ... Genres: Action, Adventure, Historical, Fantasy
Pokemon TV 160/276; Don't get me wrong. I loved Pokemon as a kid and I still get nostalgic about it. Learning about different pokemon was fun but I got tired of watching because Ash never reached the rank of Pokemon Master. I found out in 2019 he finally achieved it after 22 years. It's not a bad show but the prolonging of the plot made me lose my interest. Also, it was tiring to listen to Jesse and James recite their motto.

About This Page
Making this layout wasn't as hard as I thought and it's SO much easier than making a layout in MAL's website with their unnecessary features. Originally, I wanted to keep the Totoro theme but I didn't like the color scheme much despite the raining scene being one of my favorite parts about the movie. So I went for another anime I like: Nana. The color scheme is much easier to work with and pink is one of my favorite colors. The falling strawberries signifies Nana Komatsu buying the cute drinking glasses with the strawberry print in celebration for the new apartment. There weren't any good renders so I had to cut the top image myself. And yes, it took a long time. * My completed list isn't long since I have other interests outside of the anime world. Also, here is where I write my thoughts on my favorite anime/manga.
I wouldn't have enjoyed this as a teen and I'm glad I've seen it as an adult. Ergo Proxy is probably one of the best anime I've seen in awhile. A lot of things didn't make sense in the beginning but it held up my interest until the very end. While it's frustrating at times, I still enjoyed the complex story told in a thought-provoking way. The nice visuals, dark atmosphere, and haunting soundtrack makes it the perfect reason to get fully immersed in the dystopian society of Romdo and the characters living in it.
“Don’t just give up. Life is about getting knocked down over and over, but still getting up each time. If you keep getting up, you win.” – Nana Osaki

I love this show so much!
So many emotions were felt and I was quite sad it ended so soon. I'm still holding out hope for the author to continue the manga in the future.
My Neighbor Totoro is the most wholesome film I've ever watched and will get many rewatches down the road. It's a kid's film but I think it can be enjoyed by people of all ages. The story is about two sisters having adventures with the forest spirits living near their house. The film not only shows me the story but it taught me a lesson. A lesson to never forget the childlike curiosity I once had and to try to incorporate some of it into my adult life. I'm still a kid at heart in some ways but I know when to turn it off and deal with adult stuff the mature way. But in all honesty, I would love to go back and be a kid again. I like the feeling of not knowing certain things and not be mentally scarred by the things I've seen and experienced.
Samurai Champloo has a kickass and satisfying opening theme. I like how each of the protagonists have their own title card representing each of their own personalities. Love the unique blend of lo-fi/hip hop music with Edo-era Japan which is a bold, daring attempt on the creators part. It's slow paced but gives off a chill vibe and has a bunch of sword-fighting scenes so it's not really boring to me. Plus, I was very curious on Fuu's search for the "Samurai who smells like sunflowers". And Momo is so adorable! ♥

Steins;Gate is a fantastic, time travel story with likeable characters. At first, I was like, "hmm...okay.." but then I got hooked pretty fast and before I knew it, I arrived at the satisfying ending. I was worried there would be too many loose ends because time traveling themes in other shows tend to not go so well.
I loved the magical music and the surrealism art in Madoka Magica. What seemed to look like the average magical girl anime turned out to be a very dark and psychological anime. Kyubey isn't as cute as he seems to be. It's a little unsettling because he doesn't exhibit emotions of any kind. The story left me quite emotional after watching it.
I didn't like Cowboy Bebop as a teenager and gave it up after 1-2 episodes. I had no idea what was wrong with me back then but I'm glad I had the chance to return to it as an adult where I'm in a much better mindset. This is one of the very few anime with actually good dub. The show doesn't really have much of a plot and it's mostly episodic but I liked it for what it is. It has a nice amount of action without going overboard. It also has a bit of a chill vibe like Samurai Champloo except the setting takes place in space. It explores themes of loneliness, a feeling which I often feel quite a lot these days. Love the opening theme so much. I always let the theme play before watching every episode. ♥
Angel's Egg has gorgeous artwork and is quite the headscratcher. It has some biblical themes but I see it on a spiritual and kind of metaphorical side. I think the little girl holding the egg symbolizes how life is precious but yet, fragile. We should keep people and other things we love close to us for fear we might lose them. Certain times, we have to be cautious because we can get hurt even by those who are closest to us. Either way, it's best not to analyze it all too much.
